Trastra Verification Guide & FAQ

Crypto enthusiasts have quite a lot going for them, but there is one major hitch that most crypto users find to be a pain - they can't spend their hard-earned crypto! Trastra is the solution, offering a simple card to convert, spend, and trade crypto with physical and digital merchants alike. 

Before you can get started, though, you need to verify your account - which is why we're here today!

Trastra Verification Guide How-To

Our first order of business is to gather a handful of important items:

1. Valid, government-issued ID
2. A smartphone with a functional (front and back-facing) camera
3. Your permanent address and documentation (paid utility bill, bank statement, etc.)

Now, once those are gathered, come back...

Welcome back! Here's what you need to do next:

1. Login to the Trastra app
2. Select Continue Account Verification from the top of your app - it'll be very apparent.
3. Confirm your phone number and click Send Me Code. Enter the confirmation Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) code and continue.
4. Enter your physical address - be sure it's identical to your registration and ID/address documents. If it's not, you won't be verified.
5. Select Next.
6. You'll be asked to give the Trastra app camera permissions - do it. Now, follow the prompts and photograph your:
   • ID
   • Address document(s)
   • Face (take a selfie!)
7. Click Accept and wait for confirmation - once you get it, you're verified!

Note that with all photos, you'll want to ensure they're fully in focus. The documents should have all four corners clearly visible, and your selfie should be absent of anything (hair, glasses, masks, etc.) covering your face.

Additionally, ensure that you take the photos without flash and on a monochrome (single-colour) background - black is generally best. This makes it more likely that your photos will turn out acceptable the first time around.

Trastra Verification FAQ

Can I use Trastra without verifying my account?

You can use roughly 50% of Trastra's functionality with a registered yet unverified account. You will be able to send and receive funds, though you won't be able to withdraw, nor will you get the Trastra card (i.e., their whole draw) without prior verification.

Do you have to verify a Trastra account?

Well yes - but actually no. While nobody has to do anything they don't want to, if you want to use Trastra's full services, verification is a must.

Can I withdraw from Trastra without verifying?

No, you cannot withdraw any funds from Trastra without verifying. This is why I said "yes, but actually no" just one section above. You don't have to verify, but it's kinda freakin' important.

Can I send or receive money on Trastra without verification?

Yes, you can send and receive money to/from friends on Trastra without verifying your account - though, as mentioned above, you won't be able to withdraw it until you're verified.

How long does Trastra take to verify?

Trastra generally verifies new accounts within a matter of 20 minutes or so. While it can take up to two business days (48 hrs), that generally only occurs if the photos you took were low-quality/blurry and needed human verification.

Why did Trastra reject my verification documents?

Generally, there are three reasons that Trastra would reject verification documents: a typo in the document, inaccurate information, or a mismatch in data:

1. Typos:
   • Always double-check the spelling of all names, places, and dates.
2. Inaccurate Info:
   • Be sure that you haven't accidentally entered an old address or incorrect birthdate - you will be rejected if you do.
3. Mismatch in Data:
   • Similar to the points above, be sure you're sending documents that reflect your claims. If you say you live at 123 Garden Way, don't provide a document or ID that says you live at 678 Gemini Boulevard - even if you (at one point) did.

The long and short of this is to just... double-check and read what you type, simple as that.
