What is Skrill?

Skrill is a truly global company. They're based in London and have offices throughout Europe and the US. Their staff of over 500 represents more than 30 nationalities, and, as a UK-based company, Skrill is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). This ensures that they're held to an incredibly high standard, just as any other reputable financial institution.

Skrill accounts can be held in any of the major currencies, but once the first transaction is made, it is not possible to change the account's currency.

Skill has also recently introduced a new service allowing you to buy and sell cryptocurrencies. You can buy any of the following cryptocurrencies from your Skrill account:

  • Bitcoin
  • Bitcoin Cash
  • Ether
  • Ethereum Classic
  • Litecoin
  • XRP
  • 0x.

Is Skrill Safe?

Skrill is one of the most secure e-money services in the world. They offer industry-leading risk and anti-fraud technology, along with multiple added layers of security. They make use of the most modern encryption available (SSL) and highly encourage users to activate Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) to add yet another obstruction for those with malicious intent.

Skrill's most recent account releases show a net worth of £344m+, and their parent company Paysafe Group is listed on the FTSE 250 Index. Paysafe is a multinational company that owns Skrill, Neteller, and Paysafecard/Paysafecash, among others.

Additionally, it's worth noting that as Paysafe is headquartered in the United States, Skrill is regulated by two federal governing agencies - the British FCA and its American equivalent, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

In short, Skrill is incredibly trustworthy. They use top-tier security and are monitored by two of the most respected (and feared) governmental bodies, ensuring each step they take is taken to the letter of the law.

How does Skrill work?

In order to use Skrill for either their wallet or money transfer service, you firstly need to create a Skrill account. This is a very simple process that only takes a couple of minutes.

To get started, you only need to supply the following details:

  • An email
  • Name
  • Address
  • Preferred currency (USD, EUR, GBP, etc.)

Once you have successfully registered your account, you will immediately be able to make money transfers with no additional security or verification required and use the Skrill e-wallet to transfer funds to your favourite gambling, forex, and crypto sites.

In order to increase your e-wallet transaction limits and order a (physical) Prepaid MasterCard or Virtual MasterCard, you will need to verify your Skrill account.

You can withdraw your funds from Skrill via bank transfer, debit/credit card or Swift. Below we show the respective charges that will apply to each method. Remember eWalletBooster can help you become a Skrill VIP, these charges will then be reduced or removed entirely.

This makes it incredibly important that you:

  2. Connect your eWalletBooster and Skrill accounts
    • Gain immediate access to Fast Silver VIP and all of its perks for less than half the investment of standard Silver VIP.

Bank transfer€5.50

Skrill to Skrill Fees

For Skrill VIPs, there is no charge applied to P2P (peer-to-peer) transfers. However, for non-VIPs, there is a 1.45% fee on P2P transfers. Remember that if you receive funds to your Skrill account from another Skrill member, then there is no charge.

Non-VIPs only pay to send money - never to receive it.

Skrill to Neteller Fees

There is a 1% charge for sending money from Skrill to Neteller and vice-versa.

Skrill to Bank account

There is no fee applied when you use the Skrill money transfer service to transfer directly to a bank account anywhere around the world. Please note the money transfer service is different from withdrawing money from your Skrill e-wallet account to your bank account.

Send money from PayPal to Skrill

One of the most common questions we are asked is whether it is possible to send money from PayPal to Skrill and vice-versa.

Unfortunately, there is no direct way to transfer funds from Paypal to Skrill. If you really need to send funds, you can use one of several extremely roundabout ways - though these require creating several accounts with other e-money transfer services.

This will take quite a long time (potentially weeks) depending on how much money you're transferring, and where it's going, among other factors.

Skrill Support

Skrill has an in-depth support section where you can usually resolve your issue by browsing the topics.

If you cannot find the answer you are looking for in their support articles, you can email them by creating a case within your Skrill account or alternatively email them at, or if you are a VIP, you can email them at, where the response time is usually far faster.

However, for more urgent queries and/or account support, the best way is to call Skrill customer service via their support numbers. Refer to the table below to find the most suitable number to call.
